Then and now
We would very much like to build up a comprehensive online collection of old photos of Morton accompanied by recent photos taken in exactly the same locations. Please get in touch with Andrew Coates on 07980 212414 or by email to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) if you have any old photos that we can scan or photograph in order to make a digital copy for this website.

Golden Jubilee Tree
The Morton Horse Chestnut tree in the recent photograph above was designated by The Tree Council in June 2002, in celebration of the Golden Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, to be one of fifty Great British Trees in recognition of its place in the national heritage.
If you compare the two photos above, it is apparent that it is a different tree in each photo, although both are Horse Chestnut trees. Does anyone know when the tree was replaced?
Church and Sign Post
The old photo shows the church before an extension was added to it’s North side.
Corner Pin and Station Road
These photos show the Corner Pin public house and Station Road leading under the railway bridge to Tibshelf.
Live and Let Live public house
