Pot holes? Fly tipping? Missing road sign? Bushes obstructing the path? Nuisance parking? Street lighting problems? The phone numbers to report all these issues and many more issues are now included on our website on the Report it page.

Responsibilities of the Parish Council

The Responsibilities page on this website explains who is responsible for bus shelters, bin collections, dog bins, play grounds, street sweeping, road and footpath repairs and many more issues. Morton Parish Council is responsible for some of these but many items that residents regularly bring to our attention are the responsibility of North East Derbyshire District Council or Derbyshire County Council. Whilst we are happy to help with any issues in our village, as we don’t have any staff other than a part-time clerk and as we only meet 6 times a year you will usually receive a much faster response if you can bring your issue directly to North East Derbyshire District Council or Derbyshire County Council if they are the responsible organisation. Full contact details for most issues that arise can be found on the Report it page.
