Almost 50 pages have been added to the website this week providing information on those who died during the first World War, fighting for our Country. Many thanks to Ann Krawszik for the research she has carried out in order to provide all this information.

Three catalytic converters were taken from Tibshelf and Morton overnight between Monday 8th and Tuesday 9th April. These occurred on Newton Road and High Street in Tibshelf, and Main Road in Morton. Three vehicles parked on drives had the converters removed and taken from underneath.

On 1st April 2013, Derbyshire County Council launched a fund to help people in emergency or crisis situations, or who need help to continue to live independent lives or cope with exceptional pressure and they have no money of their own to help the situation. The Derbyshire Discretionary Fund aims to assist applicants to resolve their immediate difficulty, but also to put them in touch with other appropriate support/services, so that crises or difficulties are less likely to happen again.

Photos of the Easter Eggstravagnza which took place in the Village Hall on the afternoon of Sunday 31st March 2013 have been added to the website.
As a result of a young member from school being tailed by a van, a new community run project called Operation K.I.D.S. is being launched. The first meeting is being held at Morton Primary School on April 17th at 7pm. All parents and guardians are welcome to attend.
The Morton Monkeys page on the website has been updated to include new photos and a more detailed description of the activities for this toddler group.
