Grants now available

Posted on January 20 2016

Today, Wednesday 20th January 2016, Morton Parish Council launched a community grants scheme.

Any individual, group or organisation can apply.

Perhaps you would like to start a film club and wish to apply for a grant to cover the cost of the projector and other setup costs?

Perhaps you would like to book a travelling theatre group to perform in the village hall and need a grant to cover the cost of the performers?

Perhaps you would like to start a spinning class and need a grant to buy the spinning bikes?

Or arrange a murder mystery evening?

Or start a football team and need a grant towards the equipment and kit?

Or organise a Queen’s 90th birthday celebration?

Or put on a pantomime and need a grant to cover scenery and costumes?

These are just a few example ideas. What ideas do you have? What new activities would you like to introduce?

The Council has £5,000 available to distribute during the next 12 months to individuals, groups and organisations operating within the parish.

We are encouraging applications. Please take this opportunity to start a new activity or event or to improve the facilities within our village.

The application process is simple. Please apply today.

Further information, including the detailed conditions and application form.

Small print: The list of examples above should not be taken to be activities that would be certain to be approved for a grant. Each grant application will be considered on its merits by the parish council once received.
